Black Mountain College Studies ( invites submissions for upcoming issues. A peer-reviewed journal aimed at investigating the history, impact, and creative legacy of Black Mountain College (construed broadly), Black Mountain College Studies publishes both scholarly and creative projects.

In addition to inviting the submission of articles on any aspect of the history and influence of Black Mountain College, the journal features many different BMC-inspired art forms. As we have an open call, you may submit anytime.

We review scholarly work submitted in MLA style. As we publish work by scholars from different disciplines, we do not impose MLA conventions but ask for them because they work well for web publishing. Thus, we ask all writers to use parenthetical citations and avoid footnotes. As we are a web-based journal, we insist that the writing and form of documentation be read quickly and easily on the web.

Please send submissions and inquiries via email to the editor: Blake Hobby ([email protected]).
